Isabelle Dubroy is an actress and singer/songwriter in Los Angeles. Performing since she was a little girl, this multi-hyphenate talent shines brightest when she is doing what she loves. I recently had the opportunity to interview Ms. Dubroy about her music career. Here is what she had to say.
Tell us how you got started in the industry. Have you always wanted to perform?
I got involved in the entertainment industry when I was 6 years old. However, I was introverted as a young child, but I always had a passion for performing and became extroverted when I was on stage.
How did you get started singing?
When I was 6 years old, I wrote my first original song, “Coconut Mama”, and started to perform it.
What do you look for in a song?
When listening to music, I look for a passionate artist who portrays their emotions well in their music.
What is your songwriting process?
I usually begin the process with writing poems and then creating a melody and chords arrangements to go along with them.
What was your favorite memory from all the projects you’ve worked on so far?
My favorite memory was working on my own web series and pilot called “Microchip Jones”.

What is your favorite memory from performing live?
My favorite memory of performing live was my most recent performance at the federal in north Hollywood!
Fun Question– As an actress and musician if you could work with anyone who would it be and why?
One of my favorite actresses is Jennifer Lopez and I also love her music. Working with her would be awesome!
What upcoming projects are you working on? I am currently working on an EP and have some upcoming performances!
