Exclusive Interview with Recording Artist Mila Nabours

Recording Artist Mila Nabours was destined to be a musician. The daughter of classically trained musicians, music has always been part of her life. Her newest single, “Feel So Good”, is now streaming and is her favorite so far. I recently caught up with Mila to see what she’s been up to since the last time we chatted.

Tell us about your new release “Feel So Good”.

The idea came to me during the writing session when my fellow writers and I were catching up on life and how things were changing. We began discussing possible real-world writing topics that others would find relatable. I began talking about my feelings when I met someone amazing and together we began to explore those deep, thrilling feelings to write lyrics that were both profound and intimate.

What draws you to certain music or song lyrics when you are choosing new tracks to record?

When choosing new tracks to record, I focus on how I feel when listening to the beat and base the track on the mood that I want to set. I like my lyrics to match the energy and vibe of the melody, whether that means something more emotional, and down tempo, or upbeat and exciting.

How did you get started writing music?

My parents are both classical musicians, and I had been interested in singing and songwriting for a while. I co-wrote my first song in 2021 with my amazing producer, Andrew Lane, who guided me and started showing me what it was like to put a song together. We went through tracks and discussed story lines, going through the whole process.

What has been your favorite single so far?

My favorite song so far has been my newest release, “Feel So Right”, because I feel like it has a mix of good emotion, but also a beat that makes me uplifted and excited. The lyrics are very personal to me, and I feel like I relate to this song the most.

What has been your favorite memory from all the projects you’ve worked on so far?

My favorite memory was performing in London, in honor of the passing of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, because it felt so special dedicating a song so emotional to such an important figure. I really poured my heart out during that performance and it’s something I’ll never forget.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 10 years?

I hope to be working on TV/film and continue to create and perform my original music. I am passionate about both of these crafts and hope that they continue to be a part of my life.

Fun Question: If you could perform on any stage in the world where would it be and why?

I would love to perform in Poland, because my mom is originally from there, and I have relatives there. I think it would be really special to perform for my family in a place that is important and meaningful to me.
